absolutely! my husband has a tattoo on the side of his right calf and i have a friend who has a tattoo on the side of her right thigh. i'll probably start getting some oneday on my legs.

I have a tattoo on the outside of my leg by the calf going past the knee onto the thigh. Its a nice place for a tattoo, but mine hurt like hell near the knee and it was hard to bend my leg the next day

I have two tattoo's, on on each leg, right on the side of my thigh. I like it there because I can easily show it to people if I want to share, but I can also keep it hidden if need be. I work in tourism and they frown on visible tattoo's so this was a perfect solution for me.

People get tattoos everywhere on there body, sometimes you can't even see there real skin. So I'm sure if you get one on the side of your leg that shouldn't be a bother. But it's all about what you would prefer, if you like it I love it! SO GOOD LUCK

Sure, my first tattoo was on my leg on the side, it was the least painful of all.

I once knew this girl with tan skin who always who shorts. She had lots of tattoos, and the ones on the side of her thighs looked good. She had a pretty woman's face and some bubbles (I think).

of course!!!! i've got 6 tattoos on the sides of my legs!!! (kanji symbols going down on the right side of my right leg, and big stars on the backs of my calves.)
it's not too painful of an area either :)

depends on the tattoo... try a temporary one to see how it looks like...
