i drive a 2006 hyundai elantra and im getting sick of that "s" sound that always comes out its really annoying. or like on a cymbol comes up its like a really high pitched and its not smooth like it should. what can i do to get it smoother and still get the bass without it becoming distorted?

replace the stock speakers with some boston acoustics.

Get some 12inch Memphis subwoofers and a 1500-watt amp.

Put a filter on the power lead of the head unit, that hiss is noise.

definitely new speakers, a head deck couldn't hurt, and get a 4 channel amp if you got the money.

Could be a blown tweeter.
