I go to the gym every day or every other day. I use the elliptical and change the workout programs every day and I lift weights in my arms and do countless sittups. I feel like nothing is changed. I watch what I eat as well. I am currently 130 lbs, and would like to be 115 any suggestions on how I can get better results? and why I have not lost any weight?

Sounds lik you are doing more muscle generation exercises then fat burninge. If you want to burn fat it is better to do more aerobic exercises. The work you have done already is useful as this will give you more strength to burn more fat. Check your heart rate when you exercise there is a certain range which is classified as fat burning it varies with your age. Try to exercise at that level of exersion. Exercises such as brisk walking are an excellent way to lose weight,

I can almost chisel it in stone for you that you have lost fat but gained muscle, and the net result is no weight loss. Don't get discouraged. If you're close to your ideal weight it's going to be a little tougher for you to lose that pesky 15 pounds, but you can do it. Here are some tips:

(1) If you lift weights at all, lift very light weights and do more repetitions -- that will aid fat loss and help you to tone up.

(2) Take it easy on the sit-ups -- do them every other day and don't do more than 200 a day.

(3) Take a close look at what you eat -- if your diet is mostly carbs, you'll need to adjust. A typical nutrient ratio for fat loss is even amounts of protein, carbs, and fat in your diet, (yes, FAT -- but mostly monounsaturated or polyunsaturated fat from eggs, fish, fish oil, flax seed, Smart Balance Omega Plus peanut butter, Barilla Plus pasta, avocadoes, and any kind of nuts that you like).

Good luck!

It is simple. Either you are at your normal weight and your body is telling you that you should not go any lower or you are not working out as hard as you say. I don't know what you eat and that is very important. Also the time of day that you eat is very important as well. Eating after 6 pm is not optimal for losing weight. Another thing is you may be building muscle mass but losing some fat. This also may be happening. Without seeing you and knowing what you eat it is hard to accurately tell you what is the problem.

Don't go by how much weight you have or have not lost, go by if you've lost any inches. You're doing weight-training exercises and increasing your muscle mass, and muscle weighs more than fat (it's a denser tissue), so your weight may remain the same even as your body becomes more fit. It also depends on what your natural body weight should be (not just what you'd like it to be). Human bodies do not like to give up extra weight, it's just how we're programmed, so if you're already at a good body weight, it may be more of a challenge for you. Talk to your doctor about your goals, and he or she will have some tips for you.

Muscle weighs more than fat, so maybe you have lost inches, but gained or maintained your current weight. Eat fewer calories, stay under 1500 per day and you will lose weight. If NOTHING works, your body may be at a set point in which you cant change.

I would make sure your calories intake is well below the calorie amount that you burn, that is the only way to drop weight. Also if you added muscle that replaced fat your weight might increase or remain the same. Muscle is heavier than fat, that is why a lot of times people drop clothing sizes but not the pounds on the scale.

well when you lift weights you also gain muscle and muscle weighs more than fat does. This is probably why you haven't seen any results. Whenever I get home from soccer I gain like 3 pounds of muscle. Well thats what my doctor says. So it is just muscle.

you might be losing "fat" but gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more then fat. The best thing that I would do it to get a body fat analysis. You can usually get that done from a personal trainer or even someone at your club.

You always lose inches before you lose pounds. Don't look at the scale, look at yourself in the mirror, and if you like what you see, the workout has paid off.

it depends on how you're formed--- your figure. it might also depend on how hard you work-out. you just might need to go every day for at least 9 weeks. don't give-up hope and do NOT go bulimic and anorexic. that's asking for a death wish by using symbolism. you may not think so cause you don't know me, but trust me. you don't want to do that. i don't know if this'll help you, but anyway, good luck!!!
