Of course. You can die from an overdose of vitamins.

Yup. Did you know too much Vitamin A can kill you? Now, you'd have to get an awful lot of Vitamin A into your system to do that, but it's possible. Most doctors recommend that you take an over-the-counter multivitamin like Centrum or One-A-Day if you take vitamins -- no need to load up on the other vitamins unless you have a cold or flu, in which case extra Vitamin C might help.

Yes, too much Zinc can cause your liver to stop functioning. To much vitamin A can cause you to go into coma. (you can look up the situation by the study with eating polar bear liver.) Most of the vitamins that are dangerous in large quantities are all lipid soluable. So yes, even Vitamin E in large amounts is poisonous. There are some treatments that require amounts higher than the FDA says are safe, but its best to check with a doctor before even considering taking vitamins like that.

yes to much of certain vitamins can be bad for you. As an example too much Vitamin A can posion your system. You can not really take too much Vitamin C as it is water soluble and you lose some every time you go to the bathroom. This is one reason that FDA standards have been establishe for Vitamins.

The fat-soluble vitamins such as A can be toxic in large amounts bc your body stores them. Water soluble vitamins (B's, C...) are fine and won't have a toxic effect. Also, be careful with vitamins containing iron which is very dangerous if you take too much.

Yes you can overdose on a vitamin. Say you take a vitamin that helps you to urinate. If you take too many you might spend the day in the restroom. Of course, some vitamin overdoses will even kill you.

yes, there are certain vitmans that can become toxic to your body if you have too much of it. I dont remember exactly which vitmans they are, but there are some. Vitmanis such as Vitman B12 are simply flushed out by your body when it takes in more then it needs and does not hurt you. Go to any natural foods store and there will be someone there who can tell you if a particular vitamin can be bad for you if you take too much of it.

Yeah, too much of anything, even vitamins can be bad for you... Sometimes things are small, like too much vitamin C can cause canker sores, but it could really be dangerous...everything in moderation.

There are a few that are bad and few that are good. The good one is definitly calcium, you can never have too much of that. But iron can be bad if taken in large quanities. Talk to a physician at a phamacy and they be more than happy to help.
