Is it hypocritical for a devout Christian to tell someone to mind their own bussiness, when since the dawn of their religion they've been shoving their virews down everyone elses throats and if they don't accept those beliefs, they react violently?

In addition to some of the answers I recieved, I do not blame Christians for todays problems, or tommorrows for that matter, and I never said all Christians are guilty of it. I just was wondering if the ones who DO shove their views down your throat are guilty of hypocracy.

It's only hypocritical for a Christian who shoves their views down everyone else's throat to tell someone to mind their own business. However, not all Christians are like that, and people of other religions can be that way too. Why single out Christians?

Hey Jonny G! It certainly is hypocritical for someone to tell another to mind their business and then shove their beliefs down someone else's throat.

However, you have never met me and I am a Christian and I would not do that to you, believe it or not. I dare say that if you would have an open mind and get to know some Christians like me and my friends, you would see that not everyone who calls themselves Christians are blind, ignorant fools who are afraid to question their faith or their leaders.

We are all hypocrites, in one way or the other, Christians are no exception.

Why do you blame Christians of today for mistakes made by some Christians thousands of years ago?

One more thing, Very few Christians react violently to anyone who does not accept our beliefs, we know that you cannot force Love of God on anyone.

Good Luck to you!

Peace!

IF that person doesnt mind their own business then yes, it's hypocritical. However many of you think all Christians jump on everyone for everything and that's just not true. I don't want anyone telling me how to live my life so I dont tell anyone else how to live their life. So often times, nonbelievers, see a Christian and just assume they're going to attack them for something, and instead attack the Christian. Which is also hypocritical for the non believers who hate being attacked.

it fairly is hypocritical to call each physique a hypocrite, fairly, on condition that all of us particularly plenty are. even though if i don't think of people who call us hypocrites are certainly implying that they themselves are suited and faultless, nor do i think of they're stupid sufficient to have faith that they stay as much as their own ethical standards and ethics completely. while they call us hypocrites this is in line with what they see--Christians preaching touching directly to the gospel yet not residing via it themselves. they're basically calling interest to the undeniable fact that many professing Christians tell others they might desire to stay an identical existence they carry forth, yet in turn those Christians will possibly not make any truthful attempt to stay reported existence themselves. For an occasion of what I recommend evaluate why many people have problems with Christians. they're going to often point out the bloody history of the Roman Catholic church and the Crusades, or intercourse abuse, or outspoken weirdos like Westboro Baptist Church, money-thieving televangelists, or different in-your-face obnoxious hypocrisy or atrocities. those persons are the universal public image of Christianity for many persons and while they call us hypocrites this is because of the fact many professing Christians will brazenly admit they have a skill for truthful hatred that they don't remorseful approximately, or will show as plenty with the aid of their habit. Then there are people who call us hypocrites because of the fact we eat "unclean" animals because of the fact they have under no circumstances examine the Bible yet for some reason think of they are conscious of it extra suitable than we do. :P

No.
It would be hypocritical if a devout christian told someone to mind their own business, then pro ceded to prod into other people's affairs.
"the dawn of their religion" has nothing to do with one devout Christian.

I simply don't understand the 'shove down your throat' analogy. No one, and I mean absolutely no one, could shove their beliefs down my throat. They definitely can share what they believe, it is MY choice whether or not to accept their beliefs. It is also my right to share my beliefs - accept them or not - your choice.
