Ummm.... there's a lot more evidence than that to totally debunk the whole 'DaVinci Code' nonsense.
The fact that the alleged ties between the Merovingian blood line and the descendants of Jesus and Mary Magdelene were fabricated entirely by a con-man in the sixties, and stolen for a book called "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" is one pretty big piece of evidence that the whole thing is hogwash.

Have you read the book? Look at the introduction page - it clearly states that the DaVinci Code is a work of fiction. Dont take it so literally.
The research Dan Brown did for the book came from another source: "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" by Michael Baigent,Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln. These people claimed that their findings were accurate. Im not a Christian and i dont follow any religion either, but their claims are total bologne. One minute they claim that Jesus bore a child to Mary Magdelene and the next Baigent claims that Jesus never existed. Any researcher should at least back himself up. He never did. Dont blame Dan Brown for his overworked fiction...look at the twits who wrote the "Holy Blood, Holy Grail". They are just a bunch of clowns.

I read the book & watched the movie... doubted any of it was true from the start b/c there's hardly anything at all about Jesus historically. I do believe Mary Magdalene was much more important to Jesus & the Christian movement than Xianity lets on but I've also seen a lot of books about many things that are not true in the story and read one. I can't remember the name right now but if you go to a bookstore, it would be hard to miss.

It's fiction. I'm nt even Christian and I know that. The Davinci Code works on any large novel. They got the same kind of results with the book "Moby Dick".

The writer calls it fiction. He did this so he could add opinion to it without the religious community coming down on him. (That didn't stop them, however.) The fact is that most of the DaVinci Code is true, and some of it is speculation. It's only categorized as fiction so the speculation could be added.

Um, because it's fiction? Even the guys that published Holy Blood, Holy Grail never claimed to have definitive proof. They just said they had enough evidence to make for a compelling question.

Leonardo Da Vinci was alleged to be a gay man in a time when it was vehemently condemned. He was an angry man. There are
supposed to be sexual and woman hating images in his
paintings. He was a Baptiste, which was a follower of John the Baptist. Some say Jesus and John were rivals. It's probably
more like thier followers were rivals!

Why are you actually putting energy into thinking about this? Who cares? If people want to believe it let them. If you don't that's cool too. In the end God isn't going to be like "oop! You believed the Da Vinci Code. I might not have had that in the Bible but it's totally a sin. You're going to hell!" Leave it alone. Move on, and stop wasting your time, and mine. Good day to you sir.

Once you cross the line into the supernatural, all bets are off, it is a complete waste of time arguing what is real and what isn't. You can't do it under the condition that alternative realities exists.

It's just a book, dude. Sold in the fiction section. Why would you lend any credence to anything it has to say? No one cares anymore. If you really can't find anything else to occupy your brian, I feel kinda bad for you.
