Ugh....my skin is all messed up. I have lots of red dots all over my leg and whenever i shave they reappear. I use lotion and that only hydrates my legs not stop the red, itchy, bumps. I use a disposable razor and a shower gel (It says u can use it as shaving cream) I've used real shaving cream b4 and that doesn't help much. Well I just need some ideas and advice on how to get rid of it and keep it away.

The best thing I use is baby (or talc) powder before and after I shave. It helps prevent red bumps and the shave lasts longer. Believe me, bikini shavers are so evil, that they tear up more skin than they do shaving hairs.

Try baby powder before and after shaving to see if it helps. I know it does for me. Just a little bit before and a generous helping after.

Shave while taking a HOT BATH and use a NEW razor with Oil of olay body wash. The silkiness of the body wash will help the razor glide over your skin, and will reduce the bumps. Always apply moisturizer about 1 hour after shaving. Good luck

If the bumps appear a little later, its not razor burm, its ingrown hairs. Caused by clothes pressing against the skin so the hair cant grow in. If its razor burn I sugest an unscented lotion, mabey with an oatmeal base. Or like Aloe.
The stereo-typical red bumps are definitly ingrow hair though.

exfoilate your skin before you shave, it gets rid of the dead skin and what not, a cleaner and closer shave won't get the red bumps.
i used to get red bumps shaving my senstive areas, and now as long as i use the loofah first they aren't they anymore
