Planning to go with one girlfriend (not THAT kind of girlfriend - a FEMALE friend!!). Budget of $1000 or under per person. Love the beach/sun, but not limited to that. Looking to go Mar 8-13. Any suggestions appreciated. Maybe you've got a condo we can rent?! :)

I'll add - one of us is coming from Philly, the other from Indianapolis or Cincinatti. Also, Florida is out of the question. Been there many times & will be there just 2 wks before this excursion. Thanks all!

If you are interested in traveling to Europe- A great sunny place to go is Alicante or Malaga or Torrevieja (all in Spain)
It will not be roasting hot that time of year, but it will be nice and warm and the beach would still be a good place to soak up some rays. It's lovely there and you will find a lot of people speak English, but just outside the tourist area, you can really get a good feel for Spain and Spanish people. The bus services are great, andt taxis are cheap. Food is good and not too costly either.

I would suggest a trip to the UK- but the weather will not agree with you, and the beaches will be useless to you that time of year unless you take a COAT. ;)

You can get to Spain and stay a good couple weeks on your budget and ther is plenty to see and plenty of good shopping and if you are looking for SUN- and a bit of European atmosphere, then say HOLA SENIOR!

You can find great flights from NY-London. Then pick Ryanair or Easyjet to get you to Spain on the cheap. Easyjet also has a great line up of Hotels that can be as little as 20 Euro a night...

Hope you have a good time!

You should have mentioned where you are coming from so that could help us determine a place for you under $1000.00. I would say ARUBA but that would be a little more unless you are close to that and find a cheaper flight. Holiday Inn on Paradise Island, Bahama's is all-inclusive with a pool and beach and in walking distance to casino's.... Key Largo is nice too but may be a little chilly for that time of year.

there are some great spas out there. maybe u could have a girls weekend, get all dressed up and go out on the town, go to fancy restaurants, flirt with guys at bars, etc. i dont know what kind of things u like to do but u could also go hiking, camp in a cabin, or tents and do stuff like that. the beaches in florida are really nice compared to those in california. i would reccomend checking with ur local travel agency too. good luck and have fun!!!

My favorite is Shopallstoresonline.com – go to their "Vacation" or "Resort" sections and look around for ideas – it’s always a great place to start looking for most things. I added them to your favorites because they seem to have everything. I went to the Breezes in the Bahamas in May of this year and it was alot for my money (paid $1000 but it's all inclusive - flight, hotel, food, drinks, entertainment, etc) - Hated Jamaica by the way.
