Has anyone ever made a savory gingerbread house?

Wondering if things like bell pepper strips, or pickles will stick to the royal icing.

they will stick. unless you dry them they will get soggy and spoil instead of staying firm like the icing and candy does.

I made a ginger bread house this morning it turned out ok for a first timer.
