My dog is only 6 months old, so she is still young, but she isn't really hyper. She is actually pretty calm , so it's not ADHD. She just can't focus on anything at all for more than a few seconds.

~No, they're just dogs. They aren't smart like humans. I think you expect too much from your dog.~

It is certainly possible, although if it's young, it might simply be being a puppy.

Dogs can have OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) so probably there's no reason they can't be ADD, but don't confuse it with just being a dog or a puppy. Some are more focused than others. What breed is yours?

Try training your dog. It has helped me tons with my super hyper Jack Russell Terrier. It used to be impossible to get his attention, but the training has been helping tons. He has OCD (diagnosed by a vet), but the training has been working on that issue too. In summary...Try training!

You're not making it worth his while to listen to you. Would you want to listen to somebody telling you to sit still if there were dogs to play with and rabbits to chase? Make it fun with toys or treats.

What breed is it? Many breeds are pretty much all ADD.

Someone asked me once, whether their Whippet puppy could have bipolar. LMAO!!! Its a WHIPPET PUPPY! They are ALL that way! Either out cold or full speed ahead!
