Salaam (peace),
Unfortunatelly yes. I would like to answer no, since we live in a country that takes pride in saying we offer liberty and justice for all. But things like wearing, a hijab (head covering), niqab (head and face veil) a beard or praying in public places seem to be becoming harded and harder to do without having some bigot stare or say something. Sometimes discrimination is not that obvious, as people not giving you a job based on your religion and not on your qualifications. I must say that the other day I had to make my salah (prayer) while at the mall and the police and secutiry were there within five minutes. How sad indeed for our nation.

Yeah, once, by a guy in a christian branch not of my own. He was one of those, "My way or the highway" fellows, and got up in my face all the time about being Catholic. Oddly enough, I was the one he liked picking on. The other guys in my college class begged me to changed classes when I had a semester in a class after his, just so he wouldn't bug them. Yes, I put myself in a position for verbal abuse, but I couldn't leave my other friends to suffer his attitude.

Other then that, nope. I've been harrassed for other things, but not religion.

I have been mistreated a lot for my lack of religion, but only by religious people.

(I guess all of you christians out there reading this think, "Oh, well that's justified though, you are atheist, you deserve to be treated poorly.)

I have had only a very few instances where my lack of religion caused others to treat me in a way I thought unfair. By and large, the vast majority of religious people I know treat me just as they do one another. And I certainly try to treat all people with respect, regardless of whether they believe as I do or not. I honestly believe in freedom of religion and conscience.

Who will mistreat the children of God that God wont punish them? I have a lot of testimony about that. So dont worry if your God is true and your religion is true.

I'm Catholic.

Other religions hate our high moral standards (no abortion, no divorce, etc.). They hate the fact that doctrine exists so that they can't just make things up (and leave the church so that they can). Etc..
