Women in the Work of the Lord -

Yes, the Scriptures do declare (1 Tim.2:11-14 below).

The Scriptures ALSO declare that in Christ Jesus there is neither male nor female, we are ALL ONE (Gal.3:28 below); that in Jesus we are FREE indeed (Jn.8:36, Gal.5:1 below); we are to do our Vocation according to God’s own purpose (Eph.4:1, 2 Tim.1:9, Phil.2:13, Rom.8:28 below). The Scriptures declare women in the work of the church (Acts.21:8-9 below).

I believe we are ALL (male and female) called to the vocation God has planned for each member of His living body, according to His purpose and His good pleasure (Eph.4:1, 2 Tim.1:9, Phil.2:13, Rom.8:24 below).

1 Tim.2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection (1 Cor.14:34-35 below).

1 Tim.2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1 Tim.2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

1 Tim.2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Gal.3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, THERE IS NEITHER MALE NOR FEMALE: for YE ARE ALL ONE in Christ Jesus.

Jn.8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, YE SHALL BE FREE INDEED (Gal.5:1 below).

Gal.5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free (Jn.8:36 above), and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Eph.4:1I THEREFORE, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the VOCATION wherewith ye are called (2 Tim.1:9 below),

2 Tim.1:9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling (Eph.4:1 above), not according to our works, but ACCORDING TO HIS OWN PURPOSE (Phil.2:13, Rom.8:28 below) and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began (Jn.17:5),

Phil.2:13For it is God which worketh in you both TO WILL AND TO DO of his good pleasure (Heb.13:21).

Rom.8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose (2 Tim.1:9, Phil.2:13 above).

Acts 21:8 And the next [day] we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was [one] of the seven; and abode with him.

Acts 21:9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

The bible is not the word of God but only an interpretation of thoughts and teachings from numerous people spanning centuries. Translations and early copying errors have caused changes to the original text. Also the decisions made regarding which scriptures were included or omitted from the testaments had a profound influence on how Christianity is preached. Even now there is suppression by the church of ancient texts that conflict with tradition but are as valid as any found in the bible. In conclusion whilst the bible has validity as a historical and moral text, it has been manipulated and censored to benefit the interests of those in power at the time and should be read with this in mind.

Because, man,not God, decides they disagree with the Bible for whatever reason. Then they say God must have meant (include whatever change you like similar to your question) and change it to their liking. Now, one thing, all of us in the Great commission are called to be witnesses and disciples the Christian and the unsaved. That does not require the leadership of a Church to do that job.

My grandfather was a keen Christian and read the bible a lot. He always said that if you wanted you could look at something in the bible and then find a contradictory statement somewhere else in the same bible!

He also said that Christ valued and honoured women and that if one was good enough to be his mother then they would also be good enough to minister in the same way as men.

That was his opinion as a Christian. I'm non religious, and I would say the same, for all religions.

They would rather obey mans doctrine than God's. That is exactly what caused the division of the Lord's Church since the beginning.
Amen.
Women are not to usurp authority over the man in worship service to God. 1 Timothy 2:12
Women to be silent in worship teaching 1 Corinthians 14: 28,34

You are reading the holy book of the ancient Jewish religion. Women clergy tend to be Christian. It's a different religion - now pay attention.

I agree with the traditional clergy system - mostly Fraudsters, Homosexuals, and Paedophiles. Why let Women spoil your long tradition. Or are you still in denial ?

The bible was written by men, and in a different time. The One I call God doesn't have such a narrow mind.

Any organization that does not allow women to hold the same office as men is not an organization I want anything to do with.
