My boyfriend bought this ugly shirt. I mean ugly. He mentioned that he would wear it next time we went out. How do i tell him that the shirt is ugly without hurting his feeling?

You don't. The shirt isn't ugly. YOU just don't like it. Obviously he likes it and doesn't think it's ugly.
And why the heck are you worried about his shirt??? Did no one ever tell you that the gift is INSIDE the packaging, not the packaging itself????????????? Too bad I don't know you in person. I'd give you what I gave my daughter on her 15th birthday. See, she was always soooo worried about her clothes, her accessories, etc. It was all about the OUTSIDE! So I gave her this big square box. Took me 3 hours to wrap, sewed on flowers, pearls, beads, ribbon, etc. When she saw it, she was amazed! Then she said the magic words: Wow! It's too pretty to unwrap, mom! So I told her that was the whole idea... she wasn't supposed to unwrap it, as the box was empty. I told her I figured she'd like an beautifully wrapped box because as far as I could see, she was only interested on what's on the outside, not the inside...sorta like you with your guy's shirt. How about you try looking inside the shirt... inside the man. A shirt does not make a man. Sounds more like you care about what people will say about you when you're with him...
I'm always amazed that people don't get it....

If you are too embarrassed to go out w/ him because of the shirt, then I would be questioning the importance of the entire relationship in your life. If you REALLY care about him, then don't say anything...if him being gone doesn't make that big an impact, then just blurt it out. I would not say anything...chances are someone else will do it for you.

Obviously he doesn't think the shirt is ugly if you love him or care for him it wouldn't matter to you.

don't tell him it's not worth causing problems over. You'll eventually look over the shirt and not even notice he's wearing it. Unless it was like mine and had a naked big boobed woman on it..then snap at him.

tell him to put another shirt (specific one) and dont say nothing about the old one, when he gets there tell him he looks much better in that shirt than the other (hell get the message)

buy him a new shirt that you like so when you and him go out he will most likley wear it. And if he doesn't then pull the "you don't like my gift" card on him... and then his ugly shirt shouldnt be a problem... atleast when your with him....

you cant hurt his feelings for his sake, and if he wears it make fun of him... but when your warning him about the shirt tell him your gonna make fun of it if he wears it out... if you really think he is gonna be hurt by your comments then he has no sense of humor
