I saw a cheesy infomercial the other night, about a detox program, and all the benefits. Im not one to order things off tv, but all the stuff he said about detoxification of the body really intrigue me. I'm looking for something that will totally clean out my body, maybe help me lose a few extra pounds, and make me feel BETTER. Can someone please give me some advice as to how much money i'm looking at, where I can go to get detox pills/drinks/etc...and if it will make me queasy, sick, etc..?

Cleansing/detoxing is an important part of any health regimen. You can accomplish both detox and lose weight. Finding the right product is important. Here's some more info for you:

Chemicals and toxins accumulate in fat tissue. The more chemicals and toxins, the more fat the body manufactures. Have you ever tried to lose weight only to be disappointed? Well, perhaps now you know the reason why! Most diets, lotions, pills, potions, and powders use unhealthy and potentially dangerous ingredients, such as ma huang, ephedra, and caffeine that promise fast weight loss. Yes, but the weight loss is primarily water and lean muscle. Minimal fat is lost because these products do not address the cleansing of the system.

Without proper cleansing the lost lean muscle and water return as fat, thus people are actually fatter versions of their prior selves. Chemicals and toxins are bound within fat tissue, and only specifically blended nutrients can contribute to releasing the chemicals from fat. Excess fat will literally melt away at an alarming yet safe & effective pace. This is the healthy alternative to nutritionally deficient, disappointing and potentially deadly diets.

I have been very happy using a product called Isagenix. If you like visit the link below for more info or feel free to contact me.

Lindsay,

Cheesy indeed--most of them are, because most of them are trying to sell you something that you do not need because they do not work. In a health-food store some time ago I tried asking about Goldenseal. "How does this work?" I asked a worker.
"It cleanses the blood," she said.
Yes, but how does it work?" I asked.
"It takes the toxins out of your blood."
"Yes, but how does it do that?" I asked.
"By cleansing your blood," she replied.

Of course. Why didn't I think of that?

"Detox" programs are entirely unnecessary. If yoyu eat right and exercise, your body will detox itself very well. It's been doing that for years, now--what do you do with your CO2? That's a toxin, because it can kill you. Or the stuff we flush away? That's pretty nasty, too. Yet we take care of them rather well, and all without a special detox program.

If you eat right and exercise, lose weight (I'm assuming here that, as an American, you probably weigh just a little more than you should. We tend to do that), and enjoy life, you will be detoxed quite nicely in a very short time.

Most of what hucksters have been trying to sell us on detoxing is the conviction that what we feel is due to toxins. Actually, no. It's due to an urban life that doesn't move much. Fix that, and your energy levels will soar and your weight will drop and you'll enjoy so much more than you used to.

Exercise sakes you stronger and increases your endureance and stamina, which gives you more energy. Get enough rest to feel good during hte day, eat right so you replenish what you use, and you will feel great, all without some detox program which you did for yourself.

Enjoy.

I think the best detox should 100% natural, Start each day with the so-called Master Cleanse Drink - which combines a cup of water, the juice of half an organic lemon, a pinch of cayenne pepper, and 2 tsp of honey, organic maple syrup or molasses over a gentle heat to serve warm.

Please don't spend lots of money on this, you don't need to.
try this website that I think is for a trustable source of info. Just type in DETOX in the search bar.

Well....don't believe everything you hear. Even you said it was a cheesy info-mercial. They are only trying to take your money. Those things are worthless. Yes, they will make you queasy and do absolutely nothing for you. You don't need a detox. And the benefits they talk about.......total crock. These companies prey on people who are looking for something, anything to make them feel better. And these companies are only too happy to take your money under the guise of curing whatever it is that makes you feel bad. I research letters from the FDA to these companies everyday. They are always in trouble because of the claims they make which have NO clinical evidence. These products haven't been tested on anyone. Save your money.

Alot of that detox stuff has something to do with pushing everything out of your body through your bowels.... So yes. It will upset your stomach, and make you feel gross, and you'll poop a whole lot. Its disgusting and in the end, you will lose water weight ONLY, and it can cause (as I have researched this myself) problems going number 2 without laxatives. You will gain the weight back about 3 days after stopping the program. Its all a bunch of hooey, if you want to lose weight, eat fewer calories. The very definition of obese is caloric intake surpassing caloric output causing the body to store fat. Good luck

Yes, I don't want this to sound like a commercial but... I read a great book that helped me. I feel awesome now and my hair is growing back after being bald since I was 17! It was "Seven Steps to Ultimate Health" by some guy named Gary Null. I don't trust TV ads myself. There is no quick fix for anything. It took a long time to get all that stuff in you and it's going to take a real effort to get rid of the toxins.
The protocall doesn't make you feel queasy, it makes you feel healthy. It's not about losing weight, it's about getting rid of toxins.

It is a variety of drug withdraw, and with any detox software, the motive of it's to rid your frame of poisons. You frame desires to maintain on to those pollution, considering the fact that it's used to them, and that's what motives you to consider in poor health. as soon as the poisons are cleansed variety your method you will have to begin to consider higher, and somewhat even as, will consider even higher than you probably did earlier than the detox. many persons enjoy the equal factor once they suddenly flip vegetarian, considering the fact that their frame does not desire to quit the beef it used to be used to. Hope you consider higher quickly .:D

The answer to your question must be lived, it can't be learned. Take the leap....you can never be prepared or totally informed...just do it.
