Whwnever you find yourself doing crazy things, STOP and do the opposite. Don't text. Tell him you are busy. Go out with someone else for a night. Everyone gets a little insecure sometimes, but just remember, it's a lot more sexy if he is chasing you. Otherwise you come off desperate.

It appears to me that although you like to think of yourself as a confident person, deep somewhere inside yourself, you do have insecurities.
Have you tried getting yourself involved in activities that you like once the "crazies" start coming on? If you are involved in something you really like, you'll be okay. It's not a good idea to make a guy your whole world and responsible for your happiness, as that never works.
I've found that when the "crazies" come on, it's better to ignore the guy than suffocate him... When you do, he comes running but if you suffocate him and pester him all the time, he'll run away as fast as he can...
And if you don't feel you can ignore him, just remember this: FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT.
Come on girlfriend, you can do it!

one day....you will find a man that will love all the craziness about you. don't change who you are. because in the end...it won't matter.
i am the same way. the biggest attention whore you will ever know. and guess what? so is my husband. we call each other 10 times a day (i only work 5 hours a day) and we text each other back and forth as well. and guess what? we both love the attention we give each other. we both live for the days we have off together and can just lather each other with affection. it's disgusting i know. but i love every second of it.

Do you have trust issues and that's why your doing all the texting ? Are you picking guys that actually dont treat you right so you wind up running after them ? These are both good things to look at. It really would help you if you could go see a counselor to talk all this through.

The problem is you expect the thing that you do to others and people does not always return what they receive and you should be confident and let people try for the things, don't give people what they don't deserve.

You know its an issue so your half way there! Just check yourself.
ps - if the guy is not aware by that time what you need, its probably frustration that turns you crazy, and would suggest he ain't the right one anyhow, so don't knock yourself too hard!
