i found this metallic statue in my farms . i doubt that if i will try to sell this in open market, i will be arrested by government immediately. i want to earm money by this staue legally. how is this posible?is it really a crime to sell such statues found in one's own premises?what if tommorow i find some old gold ornaments in the backyard of my house?can't i encash that gold also legally ever?

If it was on your farm then it is yours. There is no way you could return it to a rightful owner. Sell it on ebay.

In the United States (as many of the answerers are from) you could sell it no problem. However in many Asian countries, such as China you would have a problem. You could try to post it on ebay or ship it to another country for sell, but this wouldn't be completely leagal now would it? You could try to donate it to the government for a museum that way you don't have to worry about it.

If you are telling the truth.....
I don't know what the laws are in your country, but it should be yours to keep or sell if you want. However, I would get it appraised by an expert in archeology or ancient artifacts before you sell it. It may be worth a lot more than you think!
