'Veggies' are not a botanical term. You can have fruits that are vegetables (peppers), fruits that are not vegetables, and vegetables that are not fruits. A vegetable is a subjective culinary term and has no scientific basis whatsoever. If you eat peppers like a veggie, then it IS a veggie!
Both green and colored types are high in Vitamin C. Colored types are also high in beta carotene.
