Motor oil is old school and has bad affeect for dogs livers. Do not use. Some one may suggest. I have found colodial silver and Bag Balm to do a fine job. Apply 2-4 times a day and you will see things clearing up after a few weeks. This process will take months to fully heal.

My pug, Romeo, had it when he was 7 months, I was going on vacation and it was so hard to find a Pet Hotel that will keep him when he had that! Anyways, I purchased the shampoo's and other things they require for the dipping, I paid for it to be done at the vet, it took 3 separate dips....altogether so expensive! But on the second dip I forgot to take the shampoo's and other medicated stuff, I didn't want to drive home and pick it up, I had to purchase it again (I lived 45 min away)....OK, long story short.... I have all the stuff still.....I totally would not mind mailing it to you if you would like?!?! Cause it will get worse....quick! It's sad to see them go thru that! So here is my e-mail, let me know if you want it. (No charge, just shipping if your far away). mysunshine805@yahoo.com
Romeo's cleared up 100%

No, there is no home remedy for this. You have to use the perscriptions you get from your vet to keep it under control and this is a "life time of the dog" issue. My friend's Bulldog has this and it's a genetic defect of some breeds. No cure, but managable at least.

I will probually get lots of critasism for this but oh well it works Use vasaline the oil in it kills most mites then you can use tea tree oil. that will help the fur grow back faster. I also say this is no replacement for vet care. But hey what could it hurt right?

Actually when I was little we found a dog with mange and the home remedy that the vet gave us was gasoline. It worked on the dog. Cover him in the gas and put one of those cones around its neck so it can't lick itself and then leave it for one day and then wash the dog really well and take the cone off. It killed the mange on my dog it should work on yours.

This is going to sound nasty, but I grew up on a farm, use used motor oil on your pup. Take it in the yard and pour used oil all over it. Leave it on it for a couple of days, then bathe, should be fine after wards.
