Fresh Step works GREAT. We have 3 cats, and used to have another one who had incredibly stinky pee, and this stuff works wonders.
You can also use Arm & Hammer Cat Litter Deodorizer, just sprinkle it on top of any type of litter for some extra freshness.

I highly recommend using Arm & Hammer Super Scoop Fresh Scent. It really does a great job with getting rid of the odor.

Feline Pine. It is made of pine and when they pee, it emits a pine scent. Yesterday's News is good too but not as effective in the odor department.
Regular kitty litter has chemicals in it that can be harmful to cats over time.

I've gotta go with the majority here. I love Fresh Step. The clumping kind. And I swear it's got baking soda in it..... and I'm pretty sure the package is now toting charcoal in it as well to absorb odors.
Your duty now is to keep it clean. I used to have two cats, I cleaned it every single day. Now that I only have one, it goes every couple/three days in between scoops.

I like Fresh Step. Keep in mind that the especially smelly moments immediately after the cat drops a bomb won't change if you change cat litter. Sorry!

I FEED MY CAT IAMS CAT FOOD WITH HAIR BALL CONTROL AND I USE TIDY CAT MULTICAT FORMULA AND I DO NOT HAVE SMELL PROBLEMS...SOME TIMES THE CAT WILL GET A HOLD OF A LIZARD IN THE HOUSE AND EAT SOME OF THAT, SOME TIMES THERE MAY BE A SMELL,BUT FOR THE MOST PART THE LITTER PAN NOT BAD... IF YOUR CAT EATS SOMETHING OTHER THAN CAT FOOD OR TREATS YOU WILL HAVE SOME STINKY POO...GOOD LUCK...

if you want to get rid of the odor i would oder zero-pet odor...it really works it will take the nasties smell in your house...hope this helps and good luck

i use Fresh Step and it works awesome!
