Take him out golfing in a high class golf course with your boyfriend the weekend of the party... take pictures and secretly put it ina frame for the party. Older people need to feel the company of others and that family still want to hang with them even if they are getting older, 60th b-day must be pretty hard on the man, so a gift that will make him feel loved and special would really make his year!!

Usually when you're 60 you have all the "things" you need. Give him a card saying that you and your boyfriend will take him out to dinner at a special place and that you'll be calling to set a date. Your time and company are way better than ferrero rochers - even though I don't even know what they are! ; >)

Get him a bottle of wiskey, always a favourite with older chaps. You could get him a winter jumper, a book, a dvd with a western on it, maybe John Wayne. A new radio, a watch, a hat for walking, some driving gloves...anyway there's a link with more info! x

it depends how much you've got to spend...
if you want something really special, check out 'gift experience' websites like the links below
if you want something really silly, buy him 60 tiny presents (like stocking fillers and smaller, eg. an individual sweet, a balloon, a birthday candle) all individually wrapped - unwrapping them all will drive him mad
