Dig deep, take a deep breath, and just go up and ask her. The worst thing she can do is turn you down. If she does, it wasn't meant to be anyways. Move on.

Don't ask her in front of people. Pratice what you want to say and then just remeber to talk slow and in your normal voice. Believe it or not girls can get just as nervous as dude's can, so take it easy. Maybe to get to know her better arrange a movie night with some of your freinds and some of hers. That way you can get to know her better and feel more relaxed about asking her out

I like lunch - its less committed than dinner and a movie or such.
Let her know that she's got your curiousity and say let's do lunch so I like to get to know you a little better.
Or you can go withthe whole high school note "will you go out with me cirle yes or no" LOL

Ask them if they have time to go for coffee or slice of pizza or something casual. That way it is not too heavy & if they don't want to then there is no big rejection thing.
If you do go for coffee and get along well, then you can plan for something bigger while you are at coffee.

don't ask her out if you don't know if she likes you too. try a group date or hanging out with mutual friends first, till you find out if she likes you too. that will save yourself potential embarrassment.
