He was created by the overactive human imagination.

I feel your pain, friend. I was struggling with this very question not two weeks ago. I'm a scorpio, I have to analyze everything and solve every problem.

Here's what I finally concluded:

First of all, the world is here. Matter can't create itself. Furthermore, someone had to create all of the laws that govern our universe. The problem is that based on our knowledge and understanding, God couldn't just exist. He must have been created as well. However, it must be acknowledge that we do no know and understand everything, and we never will. A mouse, for instance, does not have the capacity to understand humans and where they came from, despite every attempt we may make to teach him. He could deny our existence because of this, but the fact would remain that we exist; the problem is that he doesn't have the capacity to understand.

And this is exactly our position with God. It wouldn't make much sense if we could understand God and where he came from. If God is not eternal then how could we believe that he is able to grant eternal life? How could we believe anything he said for that matter? How could we take comfort in a God who was limited in his knowledge and potency?

Is it possible that there are realities that are simply beyond the our ability to understand? Certainly. Scientists have demonstrated that time does not exist without matter. If time does not exist then there is no such thing as a beginning.

Eventually, you just have to accept that there are things beyond your understanding. It's difficult for some people, including me, but one day you will learn to appreciate this fact.

And always remember, Einstein believed in God, and he was a pretty smart cookie.

This question really cannot have an answer. What created that which created god. What create that which create that which created god? This is a pointless question because eventually it has to be nothing. Or you could ask what created the universe. The big bang, well what created the big bang? Concentrated matter to a single point, well what created Matter?

LOL at your report warning.
i have a friend who is MORMON and she said (she nuts but hold that in back of your mind a sec) that in mormon religion there are LEVELS of heaven... really good top heaven if you were ESPECIALLY SIN FREE... lower heaven if pretty darned sin free, and lower kind of right above the clouds heaven if you were KINDA sin free.

she said the top heaven can visit people in the lower heavens and the lower heavens folks can not visit folks in upper ones.

here comes the clinker... the top heaven folks get their own worlds to be god of and make the rules as to who gets to heaven.

i still have no idea what a mormon IS....

anyhoo...

if the universe is never ending i guess thats what they mean about the never ending god thing.

god is supposed to create stuff. not BE created or then he/she would not be GOD......

in other words I HAVE NO CLUE

but i DID NOT SAY "faith and love for god" crap! :-)

Have you ever noticed that when you say something that they don't want to hear that they chalk it up to your anger instead of their own fear? Your question is valid and your frustration is warranted. However an answer may be out of all of our capabilities. If you do not believe in god...then the answer is that god was created by men. If you do believe in god...in any form (Goddess, Great Spirit, etc) then the answer is unknowable. You may want to try a new fairytale....one that doesn't have confining scripture that tears families apart and dogma that breeds only dogs; one that doesn't claim our entire gender is unclean and the root of the worlds woes. Goddess bless you in your quest for knowledge and the struggle to open minds. As for your anger the others speak of ....ignore them...at least you are honest in your feelings.

A very important person, the ruler of Egypt, asked an almost similar question.

Appearing before Pharaoh, Moses and Aaron delivered their message in the name of Jehovah. But Pharaoh arrogantly said: “Who is Jehovah, so that I should obey his voice to send Israel away? I do not know Jehovah at all and, what is more, I am not going to send Israel away.” (Exodus 5:1, 2) Pharaoh proved to be both hardhearted and deceitful, yet Jehovah urged Moses to deliver messages to him again and again. (Exodus 7:14-16, 20-23; 8:1, 2, 20)

How would you feel to hear God's voice saying to you: “By now I could have thrust my hand out that I might strike you and your people with pestilence and that you might be effaced from the earth. But, in fact, for this cause I have kept you in existence, for the sake of showing you my power and in order to have my name declared in all the earth.” (Exodus 9:13-16)

Do not put Jehovah to the test, there is nothing to gain and much to be lost.

you're thinking in the realm of logic and your mind is bound by the laws of our universe. i'm not christian, but do believe in a "god" or a supreme being that just created the speck that was the beginning of the big bang. the god exists outside of our realm of space and laws and all that fun stuff. so i guess i'm just going to give you a "god has no beginning" thing. you have to have something at the very begining of everything that defies logic and science. it just has to be. and if you can come up with an alternate explaination, please tell me.

It sounds like you have a lot of anger and nothing anyone says here will convince you. As soon as you realize that you are a finite human with a finite mind who cannot possibly comprehend God and just accept it, the better off and happier you'll be.
If you want, you can ask Him when you get there - IF you get there.

I believe that there is an entity that exists out of time and space. I believe that in order to understand this being that created us man has put faces or aspects to it. I can give you no proof nor do i expect you to believe the way i do, it is just how i feel in my being.

If we were to tell you that someone created God, wouldn't your NEXT logical question be, well then who created (the one who created God)? It would go on infinitely. You either believe or you don't. You don't. How about NOT threatening to report the answers you don't like, just because you don't like their source of reference?
That sounds fair to me.

God exists, and with your attitude, you dont' deserve an answer to your question simply because you demand one. You don't beleive in God clearly, so what do you care about where He came from. Your post and tone in your post is highly offensive and you have been reported for that content.
