By the definition of the term, yes, most, if not all religions are some form of mental slavery. Ones actions are often motivated by the fear of God and punishment in the afterlife or afterlives. Some people, however, follow certain religions simply as a philosophy or guideline to help be happy and successful in their current life. There are many kinds of Christians, many, in my opinion are victims of mental slavery, but some aren't.

Some of them are. I believe that most people are Christian because that's what they've been taught their whole life. I think that if someone takes some to really research and still wants to follow Christianity, that's good. But a lot of times people never want to think about a life without their god, so they're stuck in this religion that their parents and society basically brainwashed them into.

No, I have researched many religions including atheism which I believe worships at the alter of secular humanism. I found the only religion that held any water and could be proved with specific evidences is Christianity. Many feel that belief is a blind step but my faith is a step into the light.

You betcha. They bound hand and foot in what Socrates explained as the "Cave". They are under a spell of the God of this world, shackled in a quagmire of endless rhetoric with their appeasement doctrines and can't transcend out of their lowly "monarchy" mindset, that they negate all reason to fabricate tales of fancy that only leaves them desolate further down a whole poverty of self knowledge, self defeating doctrines, by which only the grim reaper can free them from the mental distortion they have rendered themselves impotent in.
Lol I sense many thumbs down. (I was trying to be poetic, don't be offended please LOL)

Not at all,
If anything non-Christians are victims of the un-happiness of living a life in sin.
We have broken our chains and are now FREE!
Peace!

Not at all.. I go to Church and draw what I need in my life and I leave the rest behind. I don't participate in all aspects of our church and I have total free will to come and go as I please AND I have complete control of my purse strings. I have NEVER been in a church where I have been put down or ridiculled for not offering a tithe

No.
I am highly educated.
I am a free thinker.
I am a Christian.
I make no apology for that.
And, I respect the rights of others to believe differently.
