ever stayed at the Paramount Carlton Hotel in Edinburgh? If so is it any good?

Not sure about UK tho. But give it a try.
You can input the hotel and see reviews. Be aware tho that most reviews are relative. People with good reviews will seldom take the effort to actually input them, but nearly every person with a bad review will take the time. Some will complain about the least thing. It does give you some ideas of the place anyway.

i live in edinburgh and it is a quite high class hotel so that will tell u what it is like

its good, well located just off north bridge if i remember correctly. if you are paying less than 100 per night between now and christmas, it would be bargain.
