Put out an additional Christmas stocking for him to see Christmas morning. Something kind of subtle - that will catch him really off guard. Or hang a pair of booties in the tree or with some mistletoe in a doorway. The wrapping of baby items is cute, but not very original.
Congratulations by the way!
Do you really think you can keep your secret until Christmas???
I wouldnt' be able to!!!

Some ideas:
1.) Write him a note saying, "Sorry, still working on your present - it'll be nice and ready by [[insert due date here]]!" Attatch your pregnancy test!
2.) Bring home a pair of maternity pants with the belly band and say, "Honey, do you think these will look good in about three months or so?"
3.) Get him in the car, blindfold him, and drive him to the hospital where you'll be having your baby!
Congrats!

firstly, CONGRATS!
hmm, lets see..
you could leave him a note in his jacket pocket or somewhere around the house before he leaves for work to be home prompty after work because you have a 'special night planned' or something that would make him think it was planned to be a nice, cuddle time. and then before he arrives home put up signs leading to your location and when he sees you, you could be holding a babydoll in bed or something like that.
or, if you want something more christmas-y you could by him a babydoll or something of that nature and then tell him he'll need to start learning how to change it or something.
good luck!

Depending on how many months you are along. Go to your dr and get an ultrasound picture taken.... wrap that up in a nice frame and give it to him on christmas. At first he probably will not realize what it is, once he does the shook will be even greater :-)

If you have an extra room in your home try to hide it from him, do everything possible to keep him out, then decorate the whole room up- paint the walls, get a crib, etc. Then on Christmas, walk him up to the room with his eyes closed, put a bow on the door, have him open the door and he will be the happiest daddy in the world.

Give him a card that says Merry Christmas Daddy, or put up an extra stocking. That would be so cute.

You could cook him a Christmas dinner.. with all "baby" vegitables etc. Baby carrots, Baby corn, baby back ribs... etc. use your imagination, if that doesn't give him the hint... you could hand him his gift, which would be baby items, and in the back ground put on a lullaby.. if he still doesn't get the hint... well, um... just tell him, he won't get it at all. lol

When you are by yourself with him, gift him a gift box with a baby booty (shoe) in it - nothing else. He will get the message. Of course, pink for girl and blue for boy.
