Actually you really can't cure the flu you can treat the symptoms. For your cough you can take an over the counter cough syrup ( from experience drops are not powerful enough), for your nose get some soft tissue. NyQuil (sorry if missed spelled), for me helped my cough, runny nose, even my aches and pains, plus helped with body temp. As for the flu, fasting is the best thing to do. The flu is not the enemy it is actually the toxins it is trying to deplete. When you get over the flu you will feel better than you did before the flu. If fasting is difficult make sure to eat only fruits high in Vitamin. C until you feel better. fasting will enable you to rid of the flu asap. Plus drink plenty of fluids. So to recap: Take some medication to relieve the signs and symptoms associated with the flu; fast to rid of toxins in body, if must eat only Vitamin. C fortified fruit til better, drink plenty of fluids and most important rest. When better remember to exercise. I hope you feel better soon.

There is not a medicine that I know of that makes you get over the flu faster. Only some that ease the symptoms so you can get through the discomfort. I guess the flu shot has helped many people Not get the flu. But basically you just have to hang in there and ride it out. Hopefully its the 24hr bug. If its cold and flu it could last for a week or so. Just try to get as comfortable as possible. Take one of the medicines suggested for cold and flu, and sleep sleep sleep, Fluids and a good movie when your up to it. All Better.

There is nothing that will get you over it fast. You can only get medications to help with the symptoms--but you will still have the virus for the same amount of time--whether you take something for the symptoms or not. About 5-7 days.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay away from soda and caffeine (caffeine dehydrates), get plenty of rest and eat small healthy meals. Your body needs energy to get better.

To get over the flu you need to take a day off from work. Ha Ha!! Depends on what's going on with your body. You might just need rest. Go to your local drug store, they sell "emergny C" it's like a powder that you put in water...really good, will help you feel better. Just don't take to many or you'll get the 'runs'. Airborn, i have hear works pretty good also.

Sleep is good. Lots of fluids, especially warm liquids can help your sinuses - hence the chicken soup theory. Some people use OTC products containing Zinc to help their immune system cope and lessen some symptoms. Ask your pharmacist to recomend something. But it will probably still take 7 to 10 days to get better.

I don't think that numbness in your fingers and toes is a normal symptom of the flu. I recommend you log onto WebMD and search there. In the mean time keep the circulation in the numb area going by keeping it warm and moving it.

Over the counter meds for temporary relief and rest. Eat plenty of nutritional foods and drink plenty of WATER continuously. Yes, urinating all the time sucks but it's good for you. Then all you can do it wait, but the results are usually quicker if you follow the proper steps.

If you've only had symptoms for 24-48 hours you can go to the doctor and get medicine that will dramatically shorten the time you are sick. otherwise, you just have to let it pass. Hope you feel better!

May sound crazy but take an laxative. If not that, make yourself a hot toddie...tea, honey (no sugar), and whiskey or scotch. Put on some sweats and wrap yourself up. You will sweat and once you've stop sweating from the warmed alcohol, take a shower and change your bed linens and get some rest. You will feel much better when you've awaken with no body aches.
