In most states, you only have to wait till 18.

But work on your GED man- you'll be able to get much better jobs.

In no state that I know of is getting your licence dependant on your graduating high school or getting a GED.

You have to be old enough, and you have to be able to pass the written and practical driving test.
You also have to have a clean driving record. which should not be a problem as you should not HAVE a driving record at this point. But if you have been busted for driving without a license it could impact your getting one.

I'm afraid you will have to wait till you're 21.

ANY ONE OVER 18 CAN GET THEIR DRIVERS LICENSE AS LONG AS YOU PASS THE WRITTEN EXAM AND THE DRIVERS TEST.
