I have recently injured my back and am in a great deal of pain. I have tried several forms of pain management including, acupuncture, chiropractic, prescription drugs and some physical therapy. My acupuncturist suggests that I might look into marijuana for medicinal purposes. My question is; does anyone have any information on how to obtain a prescription or information on getting one?

Marijuana will help you with your back if you have back spams and it only works when you are flying high.
Another option for those times when you cannot be spooning chicken luey. What I found helpful for my back was carniosacral therapy. Unbelievable on how well it worked. If you choose to try this method, go for a minimum of a hour.

If your doctor wanted you to have marijuana...dont you think he would of giving you something that it would be similar to that?
ok...you have been to acupuncture, chiro, drugs...have you try massage therapy? they can help you to with relaxing the muscle that are in spasm, bring circulation to the area, increase ROM.
when lying down facing up, put a pillow or something under your knees, keep the pressure off your back, if youre on your side, the same,,, keep a pillow or a body pillow in between the legs, takes pressure from the leg thats above one another and gives you some sort of alignment.
Try stretches for the back
here's a site where theres pictures on how to stretch your back
dont give up.
Good luck and good health ^i^♥

I'm 50, and while that occurs my well being guide has me take Ibuprofen (my prescription discomfort killer may not even paintings purpose it is an extra style of discomfort) & follow progesterone cream (in an extra spot every time) from the well being meals retailer as soon as an afternoon till my drift stops. The ibuprofen stops the discomfort, the progesterone fixes the obstacle for the following time round, for me a minimum of.

First of all-----slow down! Let nature take its course and listen to your body. The best treatment for back pain is lying down on a flat firm surface in your most comfortable position and staying there for at least 45 minutes or until the pain decreases. Do not overdo anything and take an anti-inflammatory during this healing process. As far as "pot " is concerned----leave it out, it's not worth it. Sooner or later this back problem will resolve itself for the most part. You have to be very patient and go very slowly and you will do well. Good Luck!
