Easy - if you shave it completely bald (as opposed to trimming extremely short w/a shaver) it will itch and ingrowns are almost a given. The MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do is buy yourself a good loofah (Bath & Body Works has good ones) and exfoliate every time you shower. This removes the dead skin cells that trap the regrowing hairs, which cause the bumps. Also buy an ingrown treatment and use that after showering every day, regardless of whether you're freshly shaven. If you're itchy, talcum powder can help. Check this website out:

Try shaving in the direction that hair grows, it will reduce the irritation to your skin. I only shave against the hair like twice a week (or when I know someone's going to be paying attention to that..haha) and I my skin doesn't get irritated anymore. Also make sure you are changing your razor blade often enough, dull razors have caused problems for me sometimes.

Exfoliate before hand with a Salicylic Acid wash and a washcloth... this will help to open up your hair folicles and cleanse the skin, which will prevent infection. ALWAYS ALWAYS use a NEW blade every time. Yes, every single time. Use the Salicylic acid wash afterwards, and continue to exfoliate with the washcloth.. this will prevent ingrowns (bumps.)

I love my hair so does my boyfriend. Just keep it clean and they won't mind licking right through it. It even turns most guys on. Shaving isn't natural. Only baby's don't have natural hair down there. xx
