most hemorrhoids don't cause pain unless they are large or very inflamed or clotted off. Most bleeding is only small amount- on tilet paper or a few drops in toilet

I've been dealing with them for many years. Yes, you can have little to no pain with them, depending on several factors. Same with bleeding. Sometimes, the blood turns the toilet bowel a "cranberry" red color. It looks like your in BIG trouble. Sometimes, it just puts a bit on the toilet paper.
It will "streek" your B/M's often.
Best home treatments are eating a diet with more fiber and using over the counter products like Tucks. Sometimes the OTC preperations help, but most are messy and stain your pants.
Again, best to get to a doctor and let them make the examination as there are so many things that can cause pain or bleeding or both that just guessing about hemorrhoids isn't wise.

I have had hemorrhoids. not much fun. you have external or internal. Both are not healthy. If you are bleeding every time you have a dump, you had better see a doctor. If you have to go for a reem job, do it. it is painless and the recovery is very short. and the relief is instant. trust me, don't mess with them go see a doctor. tell the doc I sent you

When I had hemorroids I didn't even know until my hubby saw it. There maybe just discomfort, like itching or feeling bigger back there. I didn't even know a hemorroid was suppose to bleed. If it continues you should call your doctor. Check out yahoo health and webmd.com
