I'd like to know the names of the bars that these people are making $2000 a week for working 3 hours 3 nights a week... Lies, all lies.. or better yet, an exageration (after all... they are bartenders, right?). You can make great money in any establishment if you are a great fit. But I wouldn't go getting your hopes up for no $2000 a week. Unless you are in the middle of the sand with bottles of tequila, ice, mixes and ****** co-eds it's unlikely that you will be rolling in that kind of cash... especially without experience. Just keep in mind whatever you choose - It's the service you perform that earns you the tips... not the amount of alcohal in the drink, and you will be fine.

I think that if I were you I would go to a bar or lounge. In a restaurant you only make your wage and then usually a tip out and a little bit of tips. But in a Bar (night club) you usually combine tips and split between all the bartenders. My one cousin works at a night club and she makes between $150-$400 a night. With a lounge you would be able to serve the people sitting at the bar and when you get your regulars, you can usually make some really good money. The hours are very different every where you go. I know Restaurants usually the latest they stay open is 12:00am, Lounges 3:00am and Night Clubs 3:00am. It also depends on where you live too.

Try to get work at a bar that have a restaurant also. Because then the place doesn't get its money from the bar only.
If you are aloud to do it, put a glas that say tips on the counter, the people wil throu the change in for a tip.

sports bar-one that has the wings/crap like that-but also a night crowd. ALL the way-restaurants are boring and no $$
lounge-weak too
like other guy said-gotta hustle, but 2000$ a week was bout right for me too-ALL CASH
friend and i made 900 each one nite in summer(gotta love drunk college kids)
i worked 4 nites-10 to 12 for 3-other one like 6 hours. good job if u love people and fun and drinking. miss it alot, do work sundays during football-make bout +/- 200$ for 6 hours

I work at a bar that only serves finger food. Not a big kids hang out, mostly happy hour + and our big night is Thursday. I work Sunday's in the fall for the NFL games. I make about $2000 a week in tips alone. You gotta run your *** off, but my regular customers take good care of me and I take good care of them.
