yes we do that. for the same reason. we are afraid that if we express that a mistake was made and we miss you and want you back and are sorry that the response will be anything from not interested, moved on, don't feel it, to help, stalker. so call him and invite him to something less threatening, like Christmas shopping.

Sweetheart if you don't want to be the first one to call and he doesn't either it seems the relationship is not one that's going to work anyway. If you two really wanted to be together you would be. My advice to you, forget him, get out there and have some fun. You're obviously very young and you need to go out and have fun and learn how other relationships go. Sometimes you'll find that you had it better with the old, sometimes you find that with the new relationship you've never had it so good. It's funny how life works but you'll come to find that when you find the right one, you'll know. There will be no doubt that you want to spend your life with that person and it will hit you like a ton of lead. So if you don't feel that now, move on babydoll! ;) Life's too short to dwell over past loves that, though close, just weren't quite good enough. I wish you luck and happy hunting.

I guess so. Its hard to say. It probably depends on how your relationship ended. ie, if I broke it off. Then I'd for sure think I should be the one calling first. But if she dumped me , then I think any guy would be more wary of jumping back into it. Maybe I'd figure she was just really emotional and lonely, but the next day didnt really miss me all that much. Maybe she was just caught up in the moment. I may wait to see if she calls. If not, then I'd probably call just to get a feel for her level of interest.

Sometimes guys can be difficult. You should know by now, it's always the girl that initiate things.
Call him. Who cares on who called who first. If you love someone, you will do anything (walk a thousand miles, swim across the river, sail across the ocean, ...).

Guys are used to initiating stuff like that. however, in this case, calling the ex is usually a female thing. i doubt if he wants to be the first caller in this. it puts him in an awkward spot. give the poor guy a call, you'll thank me later (maybe).

No its is actually best for the girl to call first. It shows courageousness and boldness. Girls need to show that sometimes. And it lets him know that you care and can't wait to talk to him again. If you want to keep the relationship going you better call him.

at this point, if you want to call him, call him - don't turn it into a game - i personally never call an ex - it's easier to move on that way, think it shows strength of character - can't say that i haven't been tempted to, but they always seem to be the one to call me after a while.

Yes. Men are simple. If he said to call him "Anytime", that means, when you call he will take it. Nothing more.
Stop sitting around and call him.
