Microwave Quiche...Find one of those pre-made pie crusts, you'll need to take it out of the tin and find a glass dish about the same size. Get 6 eggs, 2 cups of your favorite flavorful cheese, 1 1/2 cups half and half, or fatty milk (warm it a little first, not boil, just warm enough to start to melt the cheese) 1/2 teaspoon salt and whatever your favorite spices are. Combine all this together in a bowl, mix well, then pour all that into your crust. If you want stuff like onions and meat, nuke that stuff first with a lil butter or something to soften it.(that pre-cooked bacon would work great) I'de start by putting it in the microwave for 15 min on high... basically just keep checking it until it's firm and no juices ooze out when you poke it.

Random suggestions: Walmart has a microwave rice cooker that actually works on pasta and veggies. It is about 7 dollars, plastic, I think it is a Sunbeam item. Then you can buy whatever kind of pasta or rice you like, dry, and combine it however you want with different ingredients. For ramen you can add things to make them more interesting. I like black beans, other people use frozen veggies. You can also make more salads. You can blow your options wide open by adding a foreman or a toaster oven if either is allowed... You can get plenty of protein with canned or pouch meat, such as tuna, chicken, ham. This is the good stuff, not spam and such. You can also get things like Dinty More Compleats, they are sold on the pantry shelf, with the ravioli and the soup, etc. There are other brands, too. There are all different kinds of soups.

You can do a prepare a huge variety of homecooked meals in a microwave. Here are some websites that have good recipes:

Goodnuke:

CD Kitchen:

Nancy's Kitchen (lacks an index, which is irritating, but recipes are nice): http://www.nancyskitchen.com/microwave_recipes.htm

Indian (hey, you can even go ethnic):

Have fun!

Buy Barbara Kafka's book "Microwave Gourmet." It has really interesting recipes but best of all a lengthy index which includes cooking times for practically any kind of food you can think of.

You can make lots of things in the microwave that you wouldnt really think of. You can brown ground beef, like for tacos or hambruger helper. You can buy endless numbers of frozen meals of course, you can even buy bread that comes out good in the microwave now.
