I am a Catholic I believe in God and follow His teachings and try not to offend people but in R & S I asked a question which offended a lot of people so posted another question and asked Will you please accept my apology and 2 days later my apology question was removed. I lost 10 points
Why was my question removed it was not offensive while other people can swear and ask very stupid offensive questions and get away with it?

God Bless you

may i suggest that this means you are hitting home with them in some way they it scares them
dont let them worry you
and keep posting ...
because your questions are always filled with love xx

This happens to people ALL THE TIME. It's probably because one of those people you offended wanted to get revenge on you and reported you for some lame reason. I believe the violations and reports on yahoo answers is automated. I think if they get 2 abuse reports from 2 different screen names they delete your question. Some people have more than one screen name and they cheat. Just ignore it, really, it happens to me every time I offend someone. I used to get upset but what's 10 points. This site is so fun, it's easy to answer 5 questions and get it back in just afew minutes. I do know how you feel!

I think you just answered part of your own question...you said originally that the question offended a lot of people...then you later appologized -

obviously sometime after posting the original question and before posting the apology your question was reported and then later deleted by the admins...

And swearing isn't offensive to me...

I can only wager a guess that it might have been removed because it wasn't a question according to the guidlines of this forum. But again, I am only guessing. It is possible that all the deleations here are done strictly by computer and there is no human behind that decision. All it takes is a person to hit the report link, and poof your post is gone.

Don't take it personally if you truly think that you asked a reasonable question. I have had several reasonable questions removed and the reason given always had NOTHING to do with anything.

Some people here get offended very easily and Yahoo support doesn't have a good policy and procedure for dealing with it yet.

~~~ Susan ,,,, I, too, have had a dispute with the Yahoo Censors. I made a response to some jerk in the R&S section who was asking immature, sophomoric BS, non sequitur questions which had nothing to do with the topic. I was reprimanded and cautioned. I responded with a respectful reply stating that the individual who policed me must be in a position which highly exceeds their capabilities and expertise,,, as I have had your same experience of reading inane and insulting questions. ~~ I am an atheist who renders those who bash christians, or others, within in their question are disrespectful and simple minded. Bless you, too.
The same thing has happened to me when some small minded humorless individual takes personal offense to some question or answer and reports it as abuse even when it is not. The Yahoo Gods are blind and sometimes I think the whole thing is on automatic and they don't even check to see if something was really abusive.
Don't sweat it, Honey. I posted an apology, and it got removed also. Some times you meet people on here that you rub the wrong way. We have to take it in stride, and forgive and move on. Blessings!
If you force people to face their short comings and their true sinful nature they have no choice but to recognize their need for salvation at some level. With that realization they become angry or scared......whatever it is they will attack you. Christians will always be attacked.
"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you". John 15:18-19 KJV
It is in their nature still being in sin without the Lord guiding them in life. They live in darkness, the Light scares them. They live in fear with no hope and nothing to look forward to but the moment they are in. Christians will always have tomorrow....the best is yet to come. We are never alone, the Son shines on us He breathes joy into our darkest moments giving us hope and comfort.
If I did not have what I have with the Lord, I might be bitter too.
It could well be that some of the children (mentally, emotionally or agewise) decided that they didn't like your question or that it didn't cleanly fit into the guidelines, so they reported you for abuse.
You'll see the offensive ones ALSO complaining about getting reported for abuse.
Maybe we should all just avoid the "report abuse" button and filter individually thru the questions.
