Housecleaners are not normally tipped unless you've asked her to do something outside of her normal routine. For instance, if you've asked your housekeeper to help you cater and clean up after a party you're hosting, it would then be appropriate to tip her. Otherwise you should simply pay her the hourly rate you've agreed upon. Occasionally it is nice to leave your housekeeper a tip on Christmas.

you don't 'tip' in Christmas, give her a present and a money bonus
,and if that housekeeper its been a long time with you,is like
been part of the family,so that's the proper etiquette in this case.

I'd probably tip & give a little personal gift because this person is doing a more "personal" service (like a hairdresser). The amount is up to you & your budget. The best bet to me would be to double the usual fee that is charged.

Two weeks pay.
It is not a tip, it is a christmas bonus.

I guess it depends on how much you usually pay them regularly. I tip mine $10. A friend of mine does $20, but her house is double the size of mine.

If they work for you everyday, give them 25% of the weekly salary. If they come in once a week, give a day's salary.
