I did..I had 2 chidren before I turned 18. I graduated from NMSU by the age 23. It was not easy, but my mother did the best thing she could do for me. She did not take over my parenting role and made me have to be responsible. I was not allowed to drop out of high school, I had to get a job, and I had to pay for daycare with my earnings. Had she done what alot of mothers of teenagers do, watch my kids, allow me to go out, and provide for my child, I may have turned out way differently. Too many teenage mothers have it easy. Dont take the easy route. It will only satisfy you later in life when you can look back and say you did it on your own. Now I have 2 teenage daughters(15 and 14) whom can be proud of their mother and say that their 31 yr. old mother beat the odds.

I am one. I had a child at 15 and am now 24 and have 2 college degrees and am debating on whether to now apply to law school. Also, all this was accomplished, unfortunately, without the help/support of my family who kicked me out 10 years ago.

Well---I didn't do exactly that--BUT----I had my child as a single mom at 21. I had had one year of college up to that point. To make a long story short, I graduated Law School the day before I turned 30!!! My son was about to turn 9 when I finished my education--so don't let ANYONE tell you it can't be done!!!!

And kudos to all of the women on here who can back me up AND did faster than I did!

I've never heard of it happening. From my generation, the girls that had kids in high school or shortly after were labelled as having made "that choice instead of college". It is similar to somebody going off and having a military career or joining the peace corps for an extended period of time instead of choosing college. It seems rare that girls have a child at or around that age and still manage college with any real success. If you are one of them, good for you. I wish you luck!

I had my daughter at 15 and my boyfriend and I were very much alone - without any family support. I'm in my third year of collage now.I should have already graduated but I had to take two semesters off because of a car accident.
