I think it's stupid to make catch-all rules morally. Each situation is different and therefore requires different treatment. I don't believe in things being intrisically right or wrong; the world isn't that black and white.

This is an impossible question to answer. I think all morality is situational; not based upon, as another poster implied, "feelings," but on logic.

Example: I think it is absolutely immoral to kill another human being. Reprehensible, even. I would, however, kill another person in defense of my self or if someone I loved were in immediate danger--those actions are not immoral.

There are other areas as well, in which morality must be flexible because it is situational.

On some things. I have a strong sense of right and wrong which I adhere to, and I expect the same from others. However, just as there is an exception to every rule, there are extenuating circumstances which have influenced me in the past, and most likely will influence me in the future.

Life isn't black and white.....there are a lot of gray areas, and it's within those areas that we need to use logic, reason, and the ability to see both sides of the issue. Only then can we make what we hope are the right decisions.

No. I do take into account the weak, imperfect state that we ALL find ourselves in but for myself, when it comes to morality, right is right and wrong is wrong. I try not to be flexible in moral issues.

Goodness, I sure hope I am not morally flexible!

By nature I stumble, but I submit to my Lord's moral laws. I acknowledge that the laws of God are valid and accurate, even when I am too flexible.

You may be, but many of us think that our morals are what they are. You can't just choose to do what feels right at the time. It's important to have a set of standards and follow them. The easiest and best place to find them is in Jesus.

I think that people should define their own morality. A lot of things are situational... such as, murder is wrong, but if the person is pointing a gun at your mom, killing them would feel justified.

I do believe in moral absolutes....but I believe that some "gray area" exists in some areas.

So, I have to say "yes" to that.

(I believe that murder and stealing are both wrong...but one is by far the worse of the two - and they are both Commanded against)
