I am in a relationship and i was wondering if it is fair that i have certian things that i have to do. for example I am in charge of taking out the garbage and changing the cat litter for a cat that i dont even like. She dosent have anything she is just responsible for. but we share all other responsibilitys. Is that fair or not?

Get over it - taking out the garbage and doing little chores isn't anything compared to someone whose responsibility is to bring in the sole income or raise the kids.

what u need 2 do is sit down and have a heart 2 heart talk with her and let her know how u feel. tell her that u dont want her 2 be upset its just u are not that comfortable with some things
Now in my house we share the house chores. we have 2 dogs
so one week will be my week and the next week will be his week.
far as dishes and cooking!! If I cook he wash the dishes and if he cooks I wash the dishes. as far as the garbage he mainly does it becuase he choose too, but I do take it out at times when I get off before him. maybe you and her need tom come to some type of
agreement so that you wont feel that you have all the responsibilites and she has none. Just talk to her, let her know that u dont want her 2 take this the wrong way but u think that u and her should come up with some type chore schedule or something like that. Now as far as you not liking the cat, then you really shouldnt have to always take care of it, becuz its her cat and you really dont like it, but u will help out with it becuase you love her!!!

You both need to sit down and divide all the responsibilities equally and fairly and once that is done agree with each other that you both will take care or your responsibilities. So dont worry bout if this is fair now, just do this and no more arguments or bitter feelings will be between the two of you

Life is not fair, but you can say no, your turn to empty the litter box or take out the trash.. why aren't these chores shared too?

If it is her cat, then she should since you don't care for it anyway. But just for your information. It is very bad for a pregnant woman to change the litter box, so then it should be done by you if you are together then.

Tell her you do not like doing the task all the time. maybe, you can take turns doing different tasks. I think there is not enough communication in this relationship....to survive, you need to talk about your concerns! If she refuses, maybe you need to find your own place! There should be compremise in everyone's relationships!

I don't think it is fair. sounds like she just wants you to do the dirty work that is too gross for her to do. I would bring your troubles up with her and if she is understanding, you can come to a solution.
