Praying with the rosary is a Pagan belief just like the cross, among many other rituals.

The rosary itself is not in the bible. It was given to the world by Mary when she miraculously appeared many centuries later.

The rosary is not about worshiping Mary (no one worships Mary, including Catholics. There's a huge difference between veneration and worship when you're talking about religion.). It is also not about mindless rote repitition of prayer. The rosary is a meditative tool that is intended to aid any willing Christian in contemplating Christ's life. While praying the rosary, you should be focused on the Mysteries of Christ: His birth, His life, His death, and His resurrection, known as the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries. In other words, the rosary may not be in the Gospels, but the Gospels are in the rosary. It's a prayer for peace.

The rosary is not from the bible. It was given to Saint Dominic from the Virgin Mary in the year 1214. SInce then, She has appeared all over the world and encouraged people to pray the rosary to bring peace and the conversion of sinners.

There aren't scriptures that command, exemplify or give exact wording to the "Rosary."

It is a catholic doctrine, practice and tradition. The rosary is based on what catholics believe the Bible teaches concerning priniples of prayer and Mary...but the term Rosary and its practice is traditional.

There are no scriptures for the Rosary. It is not my church's teaching...but we do a similiar thing, with beads when we pray the Jesus Prayer..."Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have mercy on me a sinner".

There is no scriptures on how to baptize, nor are their scriptures on how to conduct a service how to order it. Many things are not written down but are given to us by the Apostles.

The Apostles by the sending out of Christ, built the churches. Who wrote down the story of Christ in the Holy Scriptues...that Our Holy Church assembled into Canonical Scriptures...meaning those that can be read publicly in a church service. Our church has many writings of the Apostles that are not canonical..but are considered very good and very holy. And we learn much from them.

If you love the Holy Scriptures, love the Holy Church that gave you these Scriptures.

First, it's Rosary. The Rosary, as such, is not in the Bible. It is a means of meditation on the life and Death of Christ and on other Biblical events.

Eating at McDonalds, Pizza, cars, and Easter bonnets aren't in the Bible. Benny Hinn isn't in the Bible. People falling backwards when a popular preacher blows on them isn't in the Bible. The position of "Catcher" at prayer services isn't in the bible. The Bible itself isn't in the Bible.

Simply because something isn't spoken of in the Bible doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist. The Bible and Christ tell us to pray and meditate. The Rosary is a means to do so. It's that simple. If people wish to complicate it, they shall, but I say that if it is used as intended, it brings one closer to Christ. If you find fault with that, perhaps you are simply looking for fault and nothing else.

No where it's tradition. Just like the Jews use a string of knots and says each psalms on them--the rosary only takes 20-30 min. but those Jewish knots take over an hour-shew!
It's good for meditation, and there seems to be more protestant churches trying it out!

The Mysteries of the Rosary are found in the gospels

The Our Father is found in the bible, as is the Hail Mary

The Glory Be, I'm not sure of, and the Fatima prayer was handed down from Our Lady of Fatima.

Why do you suppose that a modern prayer would be found in the Bible?? Where in the Bible can I find the hymn "Amazing Grace"?? Where can I find "altar calls"?
