Holy men are no extra beneficial than God or maybe equivalent to him. Popes, bishops or patriarchs are seen as area of the Apostolic succession. they could have the ideal authority on concerns of doctrine interior the Church. they are religious heads of a communion. possibly if Islam had a cleric that oversaw the unity of the religion and could communicate out approximately fundamentalism and fatwas it can be a calmer theory.
