I am dating this guy that I have only been seeing about 2 months today. I am really not into him because of his childish behavior and attitude and how much I feel like he is sufficating me. Every time we get into an argument he runs to his mother and has her come talk to me because he doesnt do anything for himself he has his mother do everything for him. Every day he blows my phone up with calls and texts and gets so upset if he does not kno where I am 24/7. I clean his mothers house every Saturday and she happened to over hear me talking to my friend telling her that I was planning on breaking up with her son. She asked me to please wait until the holidays were over taht she didnt want my bf to be depressed during the holiday and I told her I would, but he only keeps getting worse with his attitude and he wont give me anyspace. I feel like I am going to scream....Please tell me what you think I should do. Should I wait or should I just tell him now?

I definitely think you should let him know you are suffocating and that you need some space. Be very firm but in control. This way the result depends on him and you won't be completely at fault for the break up. If you guys do breakup it won't be a surprise to him because you confronted him with a "need for space" issue not a "break up issue" and if he confronts you about breaking up then it has obviously been on his mind as well and therefore is a joint decision. Give it a try and see how he reacts. Good luck!!!

You should tell him now. Don't wait. If you are really feeling like he is not giving you any space and is suffocating you, better end it now. Don't wait because the more time that goes by the harder it will be and his mother may try to keep you guys together. In the end though listen to your heart and go with it.

well I personally know from a few times that being heartbroken on the holidays,well definitely on Christmas is one of the worst feelings. I know how it is to have someone driving you crazy and you just wanna strangle them.I felt like that last night with this girl I work with that's pretty ignorat and doesn't do her work.but ya if you feel like his personality is too strong and the way things are aren't going to change and you can't stand being around him and he's smoothering you. well if you can do it, just make excuses up on why you can't see him. but the best way to approch it is be as truthful as possible. be like I have these problems with you. are you willing to work on it because if not then you don't care enough about me to be with me.

I would definetly tell him before the holidays because it you don't he might get you a really expensive present which would make it really hard for you to break up with him later. A friend of mine knows how it feels to have bought a girl a really expensive present and he was not happy after she broke up with him.

I would leave him asap, the faster the better!!! Get it over quick before he clings on more than what he is.Also if you stick with him over the holidays he's gonna be more attatched because the holidays are suppose to bring everyone closer not apart, Good Luck!!!

Girl, you got to live for yourself. Being smothered is the worst feeling ever. This guy sounds too needy and at the same time, sounds like he may drives you nuts. Who cares if its the holidays!! You gotta do, what you gotta do because you don't owe anyone anything, but yourself--remember that!!!!

Girl if I were i would break up with him that way you wont waste money on a gift for him and he wont waste money on you. Then if he gets you something out of his heart after you might feel bad breaking up with him and that way you wont feel that bad later.

Skip him mom's feelings...she's not in the relationship and she's probably happy that she doesn't have to deal with him while you're dating him! Leave now...there's no history or reason to continue suffering...
