Keep in touch, my brother! I hope you find what you're looking for. Let me know if I can be of help to you on your spiritual journey.

Each person must follow his or her own path to fulfillment. What works for me may not work for another--or anyone else, for that matter.

We can still be friends. Just don't expect me to convert to your beliefs.

To "The New Iraq": You know, Moses said the very same thing! Perhaps Mohammed was inspired by the precedent. It could be mistake to hold either religion accountable for the actions of their respective prophets. Even though adherents of either don't seem to question very strongly these episodes. Both would argue that these events while short-lived, were necessary. YMMV. Just don't be a hateful hypocrite, ok?

I'm someone who left a religion. Here's what I would say to anyone who is giving up religion/theology: "BRAVO. Good for you. It's o.k. to not believe in mythology/god. Congrats on seeing through the B.S."

I would wonder wow there must be a really big reason why the person left.

I wouldn't say anything. I would respect their choice and pray for them and hope that they would choose a relationship with God through Christ.

I'd say good luck and the doors always open if you want to come back.

I would reassure them that no matter what I would always love them and if a time came they would like to talk, I would be there for them.

I'd say 'You're still welcome to come to circle any time you want to"

No, wait. Maybe not. Not if they joined one of the "I have to try to SAVE everyone" religions.
