If the asker doesn't choose a best answer, then it goes to voting. Just tell someone to vote on yours. You will have to tell them the answer number or what you said because during open voting Yahoo removes all the information on the answerer.

Once your questions are no longer "open to answers", people can click on "Vote" undecided answers, and place their votes by clicking on "Vote as Best" answer. Also, You can go in and vote Best Answer yourself if you'd like. Just read through and if you find someone who has answered your need, vote them as best answer.

First you have to be polite and perhaps show a sense of humour. Give as much information as you can without repeating yourself and make it straight to the point! Do not repeat yourself though, okay? Do not write things more than once as they might think that you think that they are not bright.
I think you're bright because you want to please people with your answers.
And last, if you have a website that may interest them, give it out. A lot of people go for people who leave out a website as a best answer. But don't be too flirty with them my petal sexy!

To get someone to recognize your answer first of all it needs to be to the point, accurate and considerate. You can't make anyone choose you for best answer. i need to no is really I need to know.

Simple... you provide an answer that
1) Addresses the question and possibly the implied needs of the person that asked it.
2) Provides accessory information that avoids 'how does he expect me to do that?" issues.
3) Treats the question with respect and dignity that it deserves
4) Has the appropriate level of comedy or pathos
