my opinion from my own research.....
I use to be a non believer...then a believer...and now I have gone past that. I do believe in a God cause after all, someone had to create something from nothing...aka the Big Bang Theory.
But from what I have found out, read, watched, etc....the Bible, Koran, Mayan Calander along with about 30 other books, religions, etc are nothing more than a story of the cycle of life and the path of the earth through the stars.
There are too many items that match up, line up, reworded, has dual meanings, etc to say the Bible or Koran is just what they say they are, real religious books.
We say Amen to God, the first God was Amen-Ra, the Sun God. We call Jesus the Son of God, yet Amen-Ra was the Sun God. Son, Sun....not until around 1200 AD did the term son come into play in the written language. Prior to that it was youth or young male. Plus the word is too easily flipped due to translations from image type society into written society and then into different languages.
We celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus, Jesus was not born at this time but almost 6 months earlier. We mention death and awakening again after 3 days. Well Christmas is the time of the winter solstice and the sun stops moving for 3 days before moving in the opposite direction...a rebirth if you will.
The numbers 7, 12, 13 come up often in the books and fit perfectly with astrology. Yet the books tell us not to learn such items as they are evil. But in Revelations it states to seek out those that know the sky and stars for the truth of the end of times. They didnt' want us to read the stars well as we would then know the real truth.
Plus the books don't even mention my people, the Cherokee Indians or any of us Indians. How can a true book miss entire species of man on the planet the great creator made? Only man can make this mistake, not a God.
Nor would a God ever hurt anything it created as it created it from love, not hate. For a God to bash a baby's head on a rock or to do other such acts or acts of fear, is not a God, but the speakings of a man and only a man.
I could go on and on for hours here but there just isn't the time nor room.
Just my opnion like I stated before.

Nothing changes the Bible or Genesis. It might change one's interpretation of it.
The Bible deals with the world as we know it. The focus is on humans. Who is to say that there isn't another "bible" for other life forms and/or on other planets with the same Creator God? I'm a Christian, but I'm open minded enough to know that a God who is powerful enough to create the universe is also powerful enough to have more than one preferred life form. On earth, it's us humans. Who knows what else there might be elsewhere or in another dimension.

~~~Curtis ,,,, Of Course it does, silly, otherwise we would still believe the nonsense, or non-science, which the bible holds that the Earth is the center of The Universe, let alone the 3rd planet in a Solar System where we orbit the Sun,,, or that we are only a dot within our own Galaxy,,,or that our Galaxy is only ONE of many in The Universe which is more than all the grains of sand on Earth's deserts or beaches. This is partly how Religion survives,,, by adapting to The Science.
no, but the bible can be wrong on many things, doesnt change the fact that we believe jesus lived on earth and was the son of god and that his teachings hold true till today. thats all that matters from the bible, people get to caught up in trying to defend every last detail in the book that they just pay attention to the reason why the book was written. to help spread the word on how to live and treat others in order to live a good life
Yes, it will require a rewrite of the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, various Hindu texts, all myths and legends of the Pagans relating to creation, and Harry Potter. In addition, many of the Egyptians pyramids will have to be repainted and a number of movies will have to be recalled and remade.
Over all, it would probably be best to suppress the discovery and blame it all on Darwin.
Why would it change the Bible? The Bible never says the only life that exists in the Universe is here on Earth. It deals with life on Earth and nothing else.
In my opinion, any other argument is putting a limitation on God.
Why do you insist on comparing apples and oranges. They are both fruit but don't compete with each other.
One supplies moral support and science proves how vast the Universe is.
Why is mythology believed in so strongly? Of course you will find conflicting information with science. It's called REALITY.
What has any water on Mars have to do with God's true creation account in Genesis? The Bible is the unchangeable Word of God, and Jesus is the only way to heaven, and out of hell.
