Help please, any suggestions, I need to buy my 16 year old niece a christmas present, I dont have a great budget, i have never met her.

You can never go wrong with a Jewelry Box, Writing pad and pens, candles and bath and body or a gift card
those are pretty round about gifts that any girl would enjoy

make up, accessories, music, artsy things, like a cool hat or scarf, and gift certificates are always good like Target they have a lot of cute stuff and not at all expensive I just bought the new Gwen Stefani CD and its really cool and on sale b/c it came out just recently but if anything gift certificates are great

A good old american express gift card will do it! Especially since you don't know what she's into. That'll work regardless of whether she is a girly-girl or a tom boy. You can buy them at the bank.

Gift card to a near by store/mall....If you can find something out about her maybe what she likes....A CD, a digital camera (and Ive seen cute girly cheap ones for teens at Walmart)
