Whenever she gets off a newspaper, I see these little black spirals that she leaves behind. What kind of parasites are these and how do I get rid of them for good?

actually its flea poop... your cat has fleas and that is what the fleas are leaving behind. try a nice big flea bath. You can buy flea soap at a pet store or send her to the doctors to get flea dipped.

I have to say it sounds like it is the ink from the newspaper. Hold the newspaper for a while and touch something else. It leaves marks.

I have to agree with what another gal said about seeing if this happens with magazines or books etc. If it does then take the kitty in. But if this is only happening with the newspaper I would say it is just the ink from the paper.

Good Luck!!

she is probably picking up the black print from the newspaper.
Does this happen when she lays on books, or mags.
If so then check it out with a vet. whatever is on the paper the poor thing is picking it up...

sounds like flea poop, your cat might have fleas. Treat your cat with something your vet reccomends & treat your house & yard also.
