Definitely against. You couldn't even pay me, to endorse the idea of school uniforms. They're an unnecessary obligation and immoral! For that matter, to wear them is not only degrading, it's difficult. To wear the same clothse daily, is hard enough. What are kids supposed to do? Wash their unforms every night, and wear them again the next day, dry or damp? Not only that, but school uniforms is an out of date catholic ritual, which should be illegal in this century. I do mean, should be.

I was originally against them because I believe that children should be able to express themselves and one way of doing that is through their style of clothing. However, with the way things are now I think uniforms are a good idea. There are too many 'mean' kids out there these days that will belittle someone to the point of depression or worse if they are unable to afford nicer things. The uniforms keep every one equal.

When I was in school I was completely against it until they implemented a dress code. Then it became very very easy to get dressed in the morning, and thus I grew to like the dress code. Now, as an adult, I'd still say I'm for standardized dress, not necessarily a full-out uniform.

I am against because it takes away peoples individuality. Looking like everyone else and people telling you what to wear is the last thing that needs to happen. People have a right to free will and uniforms is one more thing that would take away from it.

I am against it. A lot of people express themselves through the clothes they wear. It's like taking away their uniqueness. I can understand having a dress code, but uniforms are unnecessary in my opinion. Also not all families can afford to buy uniforms for their kids.

I am against school uniforms because it doesn't let us express how we are. On the other hand, you won't be under stress finding out what would look good on you for school that day, so that helps. Really, I don't know

I'm for them. Why kids feel that their parent's bank account and choice in clothing is the only way they can "express who they are" is silly. As if what their parents can afford and allow them to buy is an expression of their personality? Hardly. I'm so sick and tired of little girls half dressed at school, boys wearing baggy pants down to their butts.
Kids who's parents would not or could not buy them the newest fad, would not be embarrassed or harassed because of their clothes. Children are inflicting bodily harm on one another because of the name brand on a jacket or a pair of jeans.
Kids social standing would be based more on individual character and less their economic status.
Students are often so focused on their wardrobe that it distracts them from learning.
Uniforms make it easy to identify kids who belong in the school and those that don't.

I am for it I think it would help teach discipline, in the real world you may have to were a uniform or follow a dress code so it would prepare kids for reality, it would also stop the distraction of all different styles of cloths
