All of a sudden, my older brother has started getting on my case about getting a new job. He's unemployed himself so I don't understand why he's getting on my case when he's in the same situation. Please help me, it's getting me down.

he probaly wants you out of the house during the day so he can have the place to himself or he doesn't want to see you waste your life the way he is wasting his

What you say is the answer,maybe your OLDER brother knows what its like to be long term unemployed and would not like to see his YOUNGER sister to suffer the same

Tell him to mind his own business! And (if you want to be mean) rub his nose in it by saying "when you get a job then you can say something to me". Or you can be mature, and ignore his stupid unemployed a--.

He is just feeling guilty for not having a job and doesn't want you to be in the same situation as him cause he knows it sucks.

Why don't you ask him to go job hunting together, it could be fun.

Maybe he wants you to do better for yourself then he is. He is older it's his job to give advice and do what he says not what he does.

he just wants to make you feel bad. i think it is because he is feeling bad about not having a job so he wants to project his feelings onto you
