I just want a real answer. Supposedly there are many things that seem to require the hand of a creator. Let's use the example of the first cell or even life itself. ID supporters say these things had to have had a designer. So, the designer is alive and made up of cells, right? Then he couldn't have "designed" cells or life. These things already existed in the creator. How do ID supporters mentally bypass this contradiction so that they can continue to believe in intelligent design?
Thanks!

Okay, the designer is made of spirit. So spirit already exists and the designer could not have designed it. Now explain.
You're missing the point.

But He is a male spirit! For some reason the fact that he's a dood is extremely important. Even if His schlong is a spiritual one.

Why would the designer have to be made of cells?
- edit -
ID is referring to the universe, the earth, and man in general.
I read a scientific report that stated if energy is the product of matter,
then with enough energy - matter can come from energy.
I read a National Geographic article that was talking about people being able to stand on two legs and how thru trial and error, mostly error it was accomplished. Toward the end of the article the writer was discussing that it was how well the knees and ankles were designed that made standing and walking possible.
What I learned from that article was "no matter how hard scientists try to disprove ID, they end up having to admit designs exist in all creation." (my words in quotes)
If you are trying to prove or disprove the existence of God, being from everlasting to everlasting. It doesn't work because we have nothing to compare it to.
How do you explain different tastes to someone who has only tasted peanut butter.
"It tastes just like peanut butter, only different?"

~~~Phoenix,,,I am an atheist, however your question is seriously flawed,,,You have made an Assumption that 'life' consists of Biological Life according to Earth Standards and our Solar System. A Supreme Being surely would have developed, ie: Evolved via evolution to Being far superior to Earth Life,,, as we know it. ,,,, But continue to use your powers of deduction and educate yourself by seeking Higher Knowledge and questioning Authority, especially the clergy.
Any answers are pure conjecture and imagination. What is not known is not known and should not be relegated to mythology. this is a big shortcoming of the human ken
