BECAUSE NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY WANT IN LIFE, NO MATTER HOW SMART THEY ARE.

Its not a curse, there are married people who are lonely, you can be in a room full of people and feel very lonely, maybe we do get accustom being alone but i believe once we don't start talking to ourselves then we are ok.

I think it is a few different things- one is self esteem- some people think that others are just not attracted to them for one reason or another. Maybe because of achne, but do they try achne treatments? no. Some worry it is because of weight, do they try to loose it or bulk up? no. They just complain that every one is shallow, yet they are not willing to improve themselves. And it is not about trying to "catch" someone, when you improve on yourself, you feel better about yourself, which eludes confidence and that is sexy.

There are those people that when they start to get lonely they become work-a-holics. They loose track of any reality that is not related to their work, using their apartment only for sleeping at.

I am sure there are also some that have emotional problems, ya know, bad past relationship, so when new people talk to them they clam up, or do the opposite and become irrate, making them...unaproachable.

So many reasons for people being lonely and everyone wants to blame it on some one other than themselves, and incase any of you are wondering, I am single myself so this does not come from some one in a relationship- I also have 3 kids as baggage, yet know some one is out there for me. stop letting lonliness be your crutch of depression, get out there and live your life.

Alone does not = lonely...many single (alone) people aren't lonely...and many people in relationships, are terribly lonely.

I'm single and feel lonely on occasion, but overall I'm not a lonely person...I have friends and family, travel and have hobbies/interests...it would be kewl to have someone (romantic) to share Life with, but since I don't there's no point in bemoaning that fact or letting myself get bummed or wallow in lonliness over it...

This life is as good and fun as we make it...why choose to be lost in lonliness?

From a female point of view, it's because guys won't take the time to look past a woman's appearance to see her heart.
